We hauled most of our gear this evening to the Applebee campsite. It took us 2hrs to get up. The hike is only 6km although there is quite a lot of elevation gain. It takes a toll on you with a heavy pack. Once up there we spoke to the custodian of the Kain hut. She had mentioned that there had been 20cm of snow over the previous two days. We knew that some of the climbs we wanted to do on the spires would have to wait a few days due to the snow. But hopefully with some warm temperatures and sun they would get into climbing condition. We came back to the van by 2330h for soup and snacks before going to bed.
