Sport climbing in Spillimachen
On Aug. 31st we tested out the comfort of sleeping in “Chico” our van for the first time. We left Banff later in the evening and stopped along a pullout not far from Radium, BC. The next morning we drove half an hour to the small “town” of Spillimachen to do some sport climbing on limestone. We slept there and climbed more the next day. We did several routes in the 5.10a-5.10c range. Later that afternoon we sorted our gear to climb the next week or two in the Bugaboos and left Spilli at 5:00pm to head towards our next destination.
